The View from Khlong Toei: Elevenfinger

Back in 2019, a Thai official announced plans to erase the term “Khlong Toei slum” from the minds of Thais by 2020. This also effectively means that they intend to “erase” the homes of more than 80,000 people at any point this year.

We speak to Elevenfinger Dek slum, a rapper from the “slum” who shares with us the stereotypes cast upon the marginalized community, and his hopes for the future.
